RFI's RF over Fibre (RFoF) transceivers are available in either Tx-only, Rx-only or Tx/Rx configurations. They are a complete self-contained module consisting of a transmitter which converts the RF signal into an optical signal and/or a receiver which converts the optical signal back into RF. RF over Fibre facilitates the transportation of signals over long distances leveraging the lower loss of fibre cables compared to RF feeder cables.
